Salman to remake a South hit?

Looks like Salman Khan is gearing up for his act as a producer. The star has roped in Puneet Issar better known as Duryodhana from Mahabharat to direct a film for his production house.
The duo had earlier worked in Garv-Pride and Honour in 2004.

Says a source, `Puneet will direct the Hindi version of the 2007 Malyalam hit film Happy Days. Salman has already secured the rights. It is about a group of friends studying in an engineering college.

The film was later made in Telugu and Kannada. Tamannaah who featured with Ajay Devgn in Himmatwala starred in the South version,` Adds the source, `Salman may do a cameo in the film.` Incidentally, Salman is already producing a film starring Vinay Virmani in Canada and another project which stars Suraj Pancholi. Salman and Puneet remained unavailable for comment.
